The Nitty Gritty:
We are seeking a skilled Game Backend Developer to join our team, focusing on developing and maintaining the server-side logic and infrastructure for our flagship games, YoWorld and FishWorld. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend programming languages like Java and PHP, experience with database and server management, and a passion for creating scalable, high-performance gaming experiences.
This role will be part of our Game Features team and is remote in Canada.
We are looking for someone experienced in Game Development, this is not an entry-level role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable game backend services for high traffic and real-time player interactions.
- Implement updates and fixes to existing systems.
- Provide feedback and estimates on new features and fixes.
- Design new and improve existing tools to support automation, live operations and marketing.
- Monitoring game performance, balancing security with an optimal user experience.
